The Costs of Purchasing a home.
These costs vary depending on the type of property, the price, and the payment method: cash or mortgage.

  • 2. Building Inspection $375 to $575
    A pre-purchase cost. This will cover a basic inspection. If you require a specialized inspection, such as Drain Tile or Septic you should get a quote.

    A typical fee ranges from $700 to $1250. Enter $1000 or the fee you expect to pay.

  • 4. Your Portion of the Property Taxes for the remaining Year.
    This is a simple calculation. If you close on the 15 August there are 138 days remaining in the year so you will pay 138/365's of the taxes.
